What is a home inspection?

A home inspection is a complete visual examination of the all the accessible Structural, Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing systems. All accessible appliances are also inspected.

Why do I need a home inspection?

Buying a home is probably one of the largest investments you'll ever make. It can be very stressful. So by having the home inspected by one of our home inspectors may assist you in becoming familiar with a property's condition and the possibility of major repairs before you purchase is necessary to minimize any potential surprises.

If you're selling your home, you may want a real estate inspection by one of our real estate inspectors before you put it on the market. This may give you valuable insight to what a buyer's house inspection may find while affording you the opportunity to make repairs that will put your home in better selling condition.

After reviewing the report with one of our home inspectors you'll be able to make a much more informed decision and a better understanding of the condition of the property you are considering purchasing or selling.

If you are a current home owner, a house inspection could be useful in identifying existing problems or detecting potential problems. This may help eliminate costly repair bills.

Will  I need to be present during the inspection?

It is recommended that my client or their representative be present during the inspection. Being present during the house inspection allows you to obtain first hand knowledge of the inspection process. Also you'll be able to ask questions during the inspection.

How long will the inspection take?

The inspection will take between 2 - 5 hours depending on many factors, including but not limited to, the size, occupancy and age of the property.

What if the inspection uncovers problems?

No home is in perfect condition. After the house inspection is complete you will have the opportunity to review the report with the inspector,  you'll then be able to make a much more informed decision and a better understanding of the condition of the property you are considering purchasing.
